Summary:

Contains data compiled from the Census of Population from 1981 to 2001, tabulated for 
Census Divisions and Census Consolidated Subdivisions, within constant boundaries.
The data are presented for provinces (PRs), census divisions (CDs) and  census 
consolidated sub-divisions (CCSs). The basic building block is a census sub-division (CSD)
which is an incorporated town or municipality.  For statistical purposes, 
Statistics Canada has created CCSs -- a typical  case is an incorporated town that 
is surrounded by an incorporated  municipality and the two CSDs are consolidated for statistical purposes.
