The APS was first conducted in 1991 following the 1991 Census of Population. This micro data contains selected samples of records from the 1991 APS ie. Aboriginal adult population (15 years and over) living in off-reserve areas. The Aboriginal Peoples Survey (APS) provides data on the social and economic conditions of Aboriginal people in Canada. Its specific purpose was to identify the needs of Aboriginal people focusing on issues such as health, language, employment, income, schooling, housing, and mobility.
