SPECIAL SURVEYS PROGRAMS SURVEY MONTH: February 1986 TITLE: Adult Training Survey SPONSOR: Employment and Immigration Canada SAMPLE SIZE: Persons 17 to 65 years of age in rotation groups 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6. SURVEY OBJECTIVES: The objectives of the Adult Training Survey are: 1. To obtain an estimate of the number of persons who took training and educational courses in 1984 and 1985 in order to improve career opportunities, to maintain or learn new skills related to their job or for personal interest; 2. To determine the accessibility of such education and training as relates to: a) the type of program and course offered and who organized it; b) was the person sponsored for the training through an employer or a Government Manpower program; c) the cost, was any training allowance or other financial assistance paid by Employment and Immigration Canada? 3. To provide an estimate of the number of persons being served by Adult Education and Training programs; 4. To determine the length of the Adult Training program or course followed.
