This survey provides a comprehensive measure of ICT infrastructure and access, and identifies access patterns in elementary and secondary schools across Canada. Statistics Canada, in partnership with Industry Canada’s SchoolNet program (the survey sponsor), conducted ICTSS in October 2003. SchoolNet works with Canadian learning partners -- provincial and territorial governments, education associations, school boards, schools, teachers and students -- to increase access to and integration of ICT into the learning environment. The goal is to develop an ICTskilled population, capable of participating in today’s economy (Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat 2002). Support to the survey initiative has also been provided by Library and Archives Canada. /dli/education/ictss/2003 c1 = Infrastructure c2 = Connectedness c3 = Access to computers and software c4 = Teacher skills and professional development c5 = Challenges in using ICT research-paper = Connectivity and ICT integration in Canadian elementary and secondary schools: First results from the Information and Communications Technologies in Schools Survey, 2003-2004 ictss2003c1-c5-pdf.zip ictss2003c1-c5-xls.zip ictss2003c1.pdf ictss2003c1.xls ictss2003c2.pdf ictss2003c2.xls ictss2003c3.pdf ictss2003c3.xls ictss2003c4.pdf ictss2003c4.xls ictss2003c5.pdf ictss2003c5.xls ictss2003research-paper.pdf First Downloaded 28 September 2003 RA and RF Modified June 06, 2007 CK
