The CCHS Healthy Aging 2008-2009 PUMF is provided in ASCII format in this product. It is called "hs.txt" (common and optional content file) and is found in the Data_Donnee folder. See File Names and Sizes (PDF) for more information.

Accessing the CCHS data in SAS ® or SPSS ®

Syntax files are provided to read and label the microdata . The data can easily be staged in SAS or SPSS format by running the corresponding "READFILE" syntax file in the SAS_SPSS folder. See File Names and Sizes (PDF).

Accessing the CCHS data with Beyond 20/20 ®

To use Beyond 20/20, you need to have it installed on your computer: Install Beyond 20/20 Browser.

Start Beyond 20/20 Extract (select Open) - for common and optional content.

If after installing the Beyond 20/20 browser you experience difficulties viewing the files, please double-click on the HS.ivx file in the Extr2020 folder, in the main CD directory.
