CCHS 2011-2012 and 2012 data
The CCHS 2011-2012 and 2012 Public Use Microdata Files are provided in ASCII format in this product. They are both called "hs.txt" but are located in different folders. See File Names and Sizes for more information.
Accessing the CCHS 2011-2012 and 2012 data in SAS ® or SPSS ®
Syntax files are provided to read and label the microdata. The data can easily be staged in SAS or SPSS format by running the corresponding "READFILE" syntax file in the SAS_SPSS folder. See File Names and Sizes.
SPSS Users:
The ASCII (text) files contain decimal points coded in the data. The decimal symbol on your system MUST be the dot.
Accessing the CCHS 2011-2012 and 2012 data with Beyond 20/20 ®
To install the Beyond 20/20 Browser double-click the ProBrowser.exe file in the B2020probrowser folder, which can be found in the main CD directory. Once installed, you can use the Beyond 20/20 Browser to create your own tabulations.
If after installing the Beyond 20/20 Browser you experience difficulties viewing the files, please double-click on the HS.ivx file in the Extr2020 folder, which can be found in the main CD directory (ex. D:\Extr2020\2011-2012\HS.IVX).
