Abstract
The major objective of this survey is to collect information on nature-related activities
(such as viewing, studying, and photographing nature, camping, hiking, skiing, boating, 
hunting and fishing), and what these activities contributed to the Canadian economy. The 
survey was run previously in 1982, 1988 and 1992, and covered fish and wildlife-related 
activities in the preceding calendar year. This year's survey, covering the 1996 calendar
year, is designed to update information from the previous surveys on fish and wildlife-related
activities and to provide new information on other nature-related activities.
