Thank-you for using Visual SPSM!

What’s New
Simulation Management
· You can now select which types of scenarios are to be included (base or variant) when opening a new simulation. You can also change your scenario selection from File -> Simulation Management or from right-clicking on one of the 5 tabs at the bottom of the hierarchy tree.
· The base tax/transfer parameters will be displayed in the hierarchy tree only if the base scenario is selected. Similarly, the variant tax/transfer parameters will be displayed in the hierarchy tree only if a variant scenario is selected.
· The default Visual SPSM setting is to run a variant scenario and no base scenario. This default can be changed in Tools -> Options.
Parameter Editing
· More parameter editing now exists in Visual SPSM.
· Parameter value validation occurs when an existing simulation is opened or a parameter file is read. If you open a simulation or read a parameter file that contains a parameter with an invalid value, a message will appear with the name of the invalid parameter. The simulation will open but you will be unable to execute it until the parameter has been changed to a valid value.
Display
· You can now customize the visual display colours.
Tables
· You will no longer get a runtime error when you run a simulation which is already displaying tables. Instead, the tables will close and reopen when the simulation has executed.
· A simulation created in Visual SPSM (English) can be opened in MSPS Visuel (French), and vice versa. If tables exist, they will be loaded in the language in which they were created. To convert to the other language, the simulation must be executed.
· You can now copy individual table cells.
Known Issues
· When using the Read Parameter File facility, please save your simulation to ensure that read parameters are not lost.
· Visual SPSM cannot open certain simulations created using Classic SPSM. When this happens, please use the Read Parameter File facility and read in the required cpr/apr/mpr files.
· The SPSD/M online documentation provides quick access to the full Documentation Guides. These online guides will only work with Windows 2000/XP. Vista users will be able to use the SPSD/M once they download a file from the Microsoft website which will allow them to view the help system. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=82148.
