Description
Abstract
The Park layer, as part of the Saskatchewan Administrative Boundary data set, contains the annual copy of the GIS layer taken from Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewans live geospatial database at the end of each calendar year. The data is comprised of geospatial locations and attributional information for all provincial, national, historical, wilderness and recreational parks that reside within the province of Saskatchewan. The layer identifies each park by name, location and type. A park is defined as an area of land that has restrictions on its use and ownership. The areas and restrictions are defined in the following Acts and Regulations and amendments to these Acts: The Parks Act, The Meewasin Valley Authority Act, The Wakamow Valley Authority Act, The Wascana Centre Act. This data is suitable for use in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Computer Aided Drawing Systems (CAD).
