Abstract
The SaskAdmin_2014_FullProduct dataset, contains the annual copy of ISC's Cadastral Admin layers taken from Information Services Corporation's geospatial database at the end of each calendar year. This data is suitable for use in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Computer Aided Drawing Systems (CAD).
-
Purpose
The SaskAdmin_2014_FullProduct dataset is to provide users with the authoritative geospatial representation of all provincial/national parks, rural municipalities, urban municipalities, indian reserves and provincial boundary polygons and attrubutes in the province of Saskatchewan.

Data Quality
- Attribute Accuracy:
-
- Attribute Accuracy Report:
- Attributes have been created by two means, depending on the attribute. Some, like the PPID, are generated by the system according to a set of rules. Others have been manually entered (transcribed) from the source documents. Transcribed attributes are checked manually to identify errors and external sources of information have been used to validate the attributes wherever possible. There is no independent quantification of the accuracy of the attribute values but it is believed to be very good.
- Logical Consistency Report:
- All line work data is topologically clean with no gaps or overlaps. The polygonal data does have some gaps between polygons (referred to as "slivers") that were created during the data assembly and loading. The vast majority of these have been eliminated but the remaining slivers require manual intervention to clean them up. These are being removed in conjunction with the maintenance of the data. The number of slivers in the data represent less than 0.1% of the total features
- Completeness Report:
- The data is complete with respect to the entry of information from township plans. All plans that represent currently active primary surveys have been entered. New restoration plans are entered into the Integrated Spatial Database (ISDB) as they are approved, and the ISC SaskGIS Township Grid Dataset is produced annually
- Positional Accuracy:
-
- Horizontal Positional Accuracy:
-
- Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report:
- The absolute positions in this data set relative to datum are correct to within 5-10 metres in the rural portions of the province and to within 1-2 metres in the urban portions. The relative accuracies are better than 5 metres in the rural areas and 1 metre in the urban areas for points that are near each other. The relative accuracies decrease as the distance between points increases
-
- Horizontal Positional Accuracy Value:
varies
- Horizontal Positional Accuracy Explanation:
- The horizontal positional accuracy varies due to the information used to derive the coordinates. The accuracy of each coordinate is dependent upon the age of the survey, the quality of the survey and the quality of the horizontal control points in the area of the survey. The coordinates were calculated using information shown on plans of survey, historical survey field notes, field measurements, control surveys and aerial photographs.

Horizontal positional accuracy
The absolute positions in this data set relative to datum are correct to within 5-10 metres in the rural portions of the province and to within 1-2 metres in the urban portions. The relative accuracies are better than 5 metres in the rural areas and 1 metre in the urban areas for points that are near each other. Estimated accuracy: varies
How this value was determined:
The horizontal positional accuracy varies due to the information used to derive the coordinates. The accuracy of each coordinate is dependent upon the age of the survey, the quality of the survey and the quality of the horizontal control points in the area of the survey. The coordinates were calculated using information shown on plans of survey, historical survey field notes, field measurements, control surveys and aerial photographs.
